Description
A steel support is always used in conjunction with the corresponding body of a quick-change steel support system. The flat version of the steel bracket is for rectangular rod rotating steels. To take advantage of the system, the turning tool is attached to the steel support and aligned to the desired height. Upon reinsertion of the steel support, the turning tool used returns immediately to the previously set height. Consequently, it eliminates the lengthy alignment of the turning tool in the center of the spindle.

DescriptionWith us, you get quick-change holders in all common sizes and for different applications. The 1665 AbD steel bracket offered for the “Multifix” system fits the size Ab base body. The flat version of the holder is suitable for rectangular shank turning tools.
With size Ab, turning steels with a maximum height of 16 mm can be used. Over the fixing bolts above the turning steel is fixed. Then the turning tool can be adjusted to the desired height using the knurled adjusting screw. This eliminates annoying alignment in future applications.
The name of the steel support (AbD 1665) consists of the system size (Ab), the support type (D = suitable for steel turning) and the maximum turning height (16 mm) and the support length (65 mm).
